Coffee Mornings are held on every 4th Friday (from 10.30 to about noon)  of each month, except in July, August and December.   This is an informal gathering normally held in the Crown Centre and is open to all U3A members and anyone showing interest in becoming a member.

Books at coffee mornings;   Please bring along any books you have finished with and take away as many as you like.  There is no charge.  We simply date the books so we can give to charity those which have not been borrowed recently.  (Please only bring books to coffee mornings, not other meetings.)

Proposed New Group

Social Board Games

We would like to know if other members would be interested in joining a board gaming group.

We are thinking of meeting twice a month, probably a Tuesday, in the early evening  7 to around 9 pm in licensed premises if we can negotiate it free of charge.

The games we are thinking of range from Rumikub, Mexican Train, Codeword through to Ticket to Ride, Takenoko, and any game any member would like to bring along, with an idea of the general rules, to play that evening. One of us is of a competitive nature and one isn't so anyone should feel welcome.

Photography for Fun.

Group Leader Janet Rutter.  (See Newsletter for contact details)

2nd Thursday.  1.30pm to 3.45pm in the Nursteed Centre.   £3 per session

We are a friendly group of photographers of varying abilities. Some meetings take the form of going out as a group to take photographs. There is also a monthly theme to encourage us to get out with our cameras. Other meetings are in-house at the Nursteed Centre, Devizes and include presentations and discussions with reviews of our photographs, learning from each other. This is your chance to get in on an exciting new venture and improve your skills amongst enthusiastic and welcoming friends.

Our next meetings are: 14th September, 12th October, 9th November and 14th December.
